Why Printhead Clogging Is a Costly Problem

Printhead clogging is a major challenge in DTF (Direct-to-Film), DTG (Direct-to-Garment), and other specialty printing applications. White ink, due to its high titanium dioxide (TiO2) content, is particularly prone to settling, separation, and buildup, but CMYK and all specialty inks are also susceptible over time. This leads to:

  • Nozzle blockages, causing banding, ink misfires, and print defects.
  • Frequent downtime & maintenance, increasing labor costs and production delays.
  • Ink waste, as excessive purging and cleaning cycles are required to keep ink flowing.

Traditional Fixes Don't Solve the Root Problem.

Many printers attempt to prevent ink settling with:

  • White Ink Circulation Systems - Useful for ink tanks but doesn't fully mix ink in dampers, lines, or cartridges.
  • Manual Shaking & Agitation - Helps delay settling but requires constant effort and isn't always consistent.
  • Frequent Printhead Cleaning - Wastes ink and time without addressing pigment separation at the source.

These are reactive, short-term solutions, rather than true ink stabilization. That's where MAGICMIX™ steps in.

How MAGICMIX™ Enhances Ink Flow & Reduces Clogging?

MAGICMIX ™ (Patent Pending) is a next-generation ink stabilizer designed to actively prevent ink pigments from settling - keeping white ink, CMYK textile inks, and specialty inks evenly dispersed for longer. With MAGICMIX ™, you'll experience:

  • Smoother ink flow, reducing nozzle misfires and inconsistencies.
  • Less clogging & maintenance, keeping your printer operational for longer.
  • Even pigment distribution, preventing ink separation in bottles, cartridges, and dampers.
  • Extended printhead life, by minimizing buildup and reducing wear.
  • Enhanced print vibrancy, as pigments remain optimally dispersed for better color results.

Print More, Clog Less ™!

How to Use MAGICMIX ™ for Optimal Results?

Using MAGICMIX ™ is easy! Simply:

  • Mix 1 part MAGICMIX™ with 17 parts DTF ink (approx. 6% of your ink volume).
  • Pour directly into your ink bottle, ink tank, or cartridge.
  • Shake well before use to ensure thorough mixing.

MAGICMIX™ works with WHITE, BLACK, CYAN, MAGENTA, and YELLOW inks.

Maximizing the Benefits: Operator Adjustments

To fully unlock MAGICMIX's potential, we recommend minor adjustments to optimize your workflow:

  • Slightly Increase Curing Time (if needed) - Since MAGICMIX ™ enhances ink stability and moisture retention, some users may find that a slightly longer curing time (5-10 seconds more) improves ink adhesion without affecting wash durability.
  • Monitor Viscosity & Ink Flow - MAGICMIX ™ integrates seamlessly with most inks, but if you notice changes in ink viscosity, consider adjusting your printhead voltage or drop size settings to maintain optimal ink flow.
  • Pair with Existing Ink Management Systems - While MAGICMIX ™ significantly reduces settling, white ink circulation systems and regular maintenance routines will further enhance print longevity and reliability.

A Smarter Solution for DTF & DTG Printing.

By stabilizing ink before it enters the printer, MAGICMIX™ works proactively to reduce maintenance, increase printer uptime, and improve print quality - all while ensuring vibrant, consistent color output.

Directions for Use:

  • Add your 60ml bottle of MAGICMIX ™ to ~ 950ml to 1 Liter of your DTF or DTG ink
(you are looking to mix in a ~ 1:17 ratio û that's 1 part MAGICMIXÖ to 17 parts DTF or DTG ink, or approx. 6% of your ink volume)
  • Pour directly into your white or CMYK ink bottle, tank, or cartridge

Works With:

  • DTF & DTG textile inks (White, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)

Helpful Tips:

  • Best mixed at the source (ink bottle/tank), before the ink reaches your printer.
  • Shake ink after adding MAGICMIXÖ to assist the dispersion.
  • For best results in reducing clogging, pair with white ink circulation systems and regular maintenance routines.
  • If needed, slightly increase curing time (5û10 seconds) for optimal ink adhesion, especially on heavier prints.

WARNING: WARNING: WORK IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA and use Protective Equipment (including masks and gloves) when working with specialty printing and curing products and processes (including DTF, DTG, UV etc.) as fumes and processes may be hazardous. We highly recommend the use of a fume extractor when working with DTF powder in addition to good ventilation and filtration in your work area. The use of all specialty ink printing equipment and supplies such as inks, chemicals, powders etc. are at the sole risk of the user. Specialty inks and film require a good humidity and temperature environment (55% - 75% humidity, and 75° to 80°F) to minimize risk of ink clogs and film buckling.
