DTGPRO Printhead Maintenance & Vacation Kit
Prepare your printhead for planned downtime of up to 30 days.
Taking a vacation, closing for a holiday, or pausing production? This kit combines DTGPRO Printhead Maintenance Solution with precision syringes, soft tubing tips, and detailed instructions to help preserve a properly functioning printhead during periods of inactivity.
Help Preserve Your Printhead While You're Away
Designed for use before leaving your printer idle for a few days or up to 30 days, the maintenance solution helps keep internal printhead passages moist and lubricated when applied as directed. The goal is to help maintain the printhead's existing condition during the break and support a smoother return to printing.
Start with a clean, properly functioning printhead and a satisfactory nozzle test. Preservation results depend on the printhead's starting condition, correct preparation, ink compatibility, and storage conditions.
For Preservation - Not Clog Removal
This maintenance solution does not clean clogged printheads or repair damaged printheads. It is intended to help preserve a printhead that is already in good working condition.
If your nozzle test shows missing nozzles, gaps, or other problems, resolve those issues before preparing the printhead for storage. Maintenance solution should not be used as a substitute for the appropriate cleaning or repair procedure.
What's Included
| Component | Details |
| 120ml Printhead Maintenance Solution | Dedicated preservation fluid to help keep a properly prepared printhead moist and lubricated during planned downtime. |
| 6 × 1ml Precision Syringes | For measuring and applying small quantities of maintenance solution. Use a separate syringe for each ink channel to help avoid cross-contamination. Systems with fewer channels may leave spare syringes. |
| Soft Tubing Tips | Designed to connect the syringes to compatible Epson printhead inlet ports for controlled delivery of maintenance solution. |
| Detailed Instructions | Includes guidance for both cartridge-based systems and systems using dampers or continuous ink supplies. |
For a Range of Specialty Printing Systems
Suitable for compatible DTF, DTG, UV, and sublimation printers, including cartridge-based and damper/continuous ink systems. The included soft tubing tips fit compatible Epson printhead inlet ports.
Confirm compatibility with your specific printhead, ink chemistry, and printer before use. Follow the procedure appropriate to your ink delivery system, along with any manufacturer requirements for extended downtime.
Plan Ahead for Your Next Printing Break
- Check the printhead: Run a nozzle test and address any missing nozzles or clogs before storage preparation.
- Follow the included instructions: Use the preparation method for your cartridge-based or damper/continuous ink system.
- Apply the recommended quantity: Use the syringes and tubing tips for gentle, controlled delivery. Never force fluid through a printhead.
- Complete the storage and restart procedures: Follow the included guidance and your printer manufacturer's instructions before leaving and when returning to service.
How Many Uses Does One Bottle Provide?
The recommended quantity is approximately 1-2ml per ink chamber, subject to the included instructions for your system.
For a six-channel printhead, that equals approximately 6-12ml per treatment. A 120ml bottle therefore provides approximately 8-16 complete six-channel treatments, before allowing for handling losses or additional preparation requirements.
Actual usage varies with the number of printheads, ink chambers, and the preparation procedure.
Important: Intended for planned downtime of up to 30 days when used as directed. This kit does not guarantee nozzle recovery or unchanged printhead performance, and it does not replace maintenance requirements for the rest of the printer, including any required white-ink circulation or agitation.
