MagicLine™ Desktop Transfer Systems let you create vibrant, durable, full-color garment transfers using select Canon® and Epson® desktop inkjet printers with their existing pigment-based CMYK inks.
No white ink. No DTF ink conversion. No printer modification. The patent-pending MagicLine™ process combines specialized Desktop Transfer Sheets, MagicPowder™ and MagicSeal™ Fusion to produce professional transfers for white, light and dark garments.
Choose from consumables-only kits, printer-and-supplies bundles or complete equipment packages designed to make full-color garment decoration easier, more affordable and more accessible.
Print with the compatible printer's original pigment-based CMYK inks, then use the proprietary MagicLine™ consumable system to add adhesion, opacity and enhanced wash durability.
Traditional DTF printing normally requires dedicated DTF inks, including a heavily pigmented white ink, along with specialized equipment and ongoing maintenance to manage settling, circulation and clogging.
MagicLine™ takes a simpler approach. Your compatible desktop printer continues operating with its standard pigment-based CMYK inks. The MagicLine™ Transfer Sheet receives the printed image, MagicPowder™ creates the adhesive layer and, when needed, the opaque white backing, while MagicSeal™ Fusion completes the process by dramatically improving wash durability.
The result is a full-color transfer workflow that approaches the durability of traditional DTF without requiring white ink or a dedicated DTF printer.
Print, powder, cure, press, peel and finish. The complete process uses familiar desktop equipment with specialized MagicLine™ consumables engineered to work together.
Print the mirrored full-color design onto a MagicLine™ Desktop Transfer Sheet using a compatible Canon® or Epson® printer with its standard pigment-based CMYK inks.
Apply the appropriate MagicPowder™ to the printed sheet and cure it using a compatible heatstation or curing method.
Heat press the transfer onto the garment, peel according to the instructions, apply MagicSeal™ Fusion and complete the finishing press.
Specially coated transfer sheets receive the desktop pigment ink, retain fine detail and support controlled powder adhesion and clean transfer release.
The selected MagicPowder™ forms the adhesive layer and, when required, supplies the opaque white backing needed to reproduce full-color designs on darker garments.
The finishing spray helps lock in the pigment colors while improving wash durability, flexibility and the finished transfer's overall feel.
Printing standard desktop pigment ink onto an ordinary transfer medium may create an attractive initial result, but the color can begin washing away after only one or two laundering cycles.
The proprietary combination of MagicLine™ Desktop Transfer Sheets, MagicPowder™ and MagicSeal™ Fusion is engineered to deliver 50+ wash durability when transfers are produced, applied and laundered according to the recommended instructions.
White MagicPowder™ creates the adhesive layer and opaque white backing needed to prevent the garment color from interfering with the printed CMYK design.
Use White MagicPowder™ for transfers intended for white, light or dark garments when an opaque base is required.
Clear MagicPowder™ forms the adhesive layer without adding an opaque white background.
Use Clear MagicPowder™ for transfers onto white garments, where the white fabric itself provides the background behind the printed colors.
MagicLine™ Desktop Transfer Systems work with select Canon® MAXIFY GX, Epson® WorkForce Pro and Epson® EcoTank Pro printers that use pigment-based CMYK inks.
The printer remains in its original configuration and continues using the type of ink for which it was designed. There is no conversion, no replacement ink system and no need to modify the printer.
Always confirm that your exact printer model uses pigment-based CMYK inks and is listed as compatible before selecting a consumables-only kit.
