Applicable terms: The warranty terms supplied with your purchase govern that purchase. This revision does not retroactively reduce existing coverage. Product-specific written warranty terms control over general terms where they differ. Nothing on this page limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Before buying a Specialty printer
A specialty printer (such as DTG, DTF, UV, Transfer, Sublimation or other Specialty printer), will allow you to print your own designs to a variety of substrates depending on the printer technology. DTG or DTF for example will allow you to print amazing full color prints on light and dark shirts in just a few minutes. You can be doing short runs with no setups, no color separations, no tear down - and you are getting more than wholesale for a shirt – you will love it!
There is a learning curve to Specialty printing (much like screen printing or other forms of printing). It takes time and experimentation to become proficient and knowledgeable about your new craft
The secret to success is proper printer maintenance and adherence to instructions and procedures (applies to all equipment), proper pretreatment (DTG), proper use of PreTreat Sheets or Transfer Sheets (DTF, Transfer or Sublimation):
You may have to work on and troubleshoot your printer at some point. Between user error and just the effects of use over time you may encounter errors and will learn to fix them, with DTG PRO's assistance.
You may need to climate control your print room environment. DTF and DTG work best in room temperature conditions (70 - 80 degrees F) and humidity from 55% - 75%. A humidifier may be needed if you have unusually low humidity in your printing environment.
Inks will clog if not used often, especially if the printer is left idle more than a couple of days or proper maintenance on the printer or inks is not conducted. There are many unclogging procedures available to you (including the printer's self-cleaning function, and a more forceful manual flush with our flush system).
Never take customer orders until you have learned how to use the printer and pretreatment.
Every day that you use the printer you will need to do Maintenance. A routine of 5-10 minutes of cleaning the printer prior to using, is easy and quick.
Join a community of users, such as online user groups and forums for T-shirt printing. You will learn and share knowledge that will be valuable to you and your business.
Ensure you have RIP software (such as AcroRIP, CADLINK, EKPRINT etc.) if none is provided with your purchase.
What you will need (not included in your purchase, and varies by Specialty printer type DTG, DTF, etc):
Customer Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
Requirements / Preparedness for Onboarding or Training Calls:
The following will be required for any onboarding or training call that is scheduled with our support team:
When included with purchase, initial remote training typically provides 1-2 hours for desktop models and 3-4 hours for wide-format models. The allowance and delivery method specified on your product page or order confirmation control. Sessions require advance scheduling and focus on setup, basic operation, maintenance, and guided first prints.
Additional operator training, repeat onboarding, maintenance coaching, and non-warranty troubleshooting may require a Remote Support & Training package. On-site onboarding and service are separate purchases unless expressly included; some equipment requires on-site onboarding. The selected service page and order confirmation specify duration, scheduling, expiration, and applicable service terms.
No paid support package is required to submit a warranty claim or receive diagnosis and replacement guidance needed to fulfill a covered claim. Such assistance does not deduct from purchased support hours. We will explain and obtain approval for separately chargeable assistance before billing or deducting support time. Warranty assistance does not include unlimited general training or on-site service.
Provider and scope. For equipment sold with a DTGPRO-provided warranty, DTGPRO warrants eligible hardware against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance. Consumables, ink-contact components, and wear items are excluded as described below. Equipment sold with a separate manufacturer's warranty remains subject to that manufacturer's written terms; this section does not replace or reduce those warranties. Modified or rebuilt specialty printers may not retain the original engine manufacturer's warranty; claims under a DTGPRO warranty must be directed to DTGPRO.
Duration. For eligible new DTFLINE equipment sold under these revised terms, the included warranty is 6 calendar months from shipment to the original customer, unless a different period is expressly stated in the product-specific terms supplied at sale. Other equipment carrying a DTGPRO warranty has a default period of 180 days from shipment unless its written product-specific terms state otherwise. Earlier purchases retain the period and start date provided at sale. Coverage is non-transferable, subject to applicable law.
Parts and depot labor. The standard warranty includes eligible parts and covered repair labor at DTGPRO's designated service facility. It does not authorize on-site service, travel, or third-party repair expenses. Contact DTGPRO before returning any equipment or part; obtain written authorization and shipping instructions. The customer prepays inbound freight under the standard depot warranty. Follow the applicable return-shipping and advance-parts provisions below. The separate extended warranty shipping rules apply during its extended period.
Conditions and exclusions. Customers must complete required onboarding, follow operating and maintenance instructions, maintain the specified environment, and comply with the supplies requirements below. Coverage excludes printheads, dampers, capping stations, tubes/tubing, ink cartridges, other ink-contact or expendable components, inks, films, powders, cleaning solutions, normal wear, clogging, and routine maintenance. It also excludes damage caused by improper installation, operation, storage, shipping, maintenance, misuse, neglect, accidents, liquid spills, unauthorized modifications or repairs, unsuitable electrical supply, fire, flood, lightning, or other external causes. Software problems are not hardware warranty defects.
Claims. Contact DTGPRO promptly after discovering an issue during the coverage period through our contact page or the support channel provided with your order. Supply your order information, model, serial number, symptoms, and reasonably requested photographs, videos, maintenance records, or supply records. Cooperate with guided diagnosis. DTGPRO may inspect returned parts or equipment to determine coverage and will explain a denial. Customer repairs expressly authorized by DTGPRO do not constitute unauthorized repairs. Alteration or removal of identifying marks may prevent verification and affect coverage, subject to applicable law.
If inspection establishes an excluded cause, we will explain applicable inspection, shipping, and repair charges before proceeding with paid work. DTGPRO may decline repairs outside warranty coverage. These exclusions and conditions do not remove coverage or statutory rights where applicable law prohibits doing so.
Applies to BOTH the DTGPRO standard limited warranty and the DTFLINE Extended Limited Parts Warranty: Use inks, films, powders, cleaning and maintenance fluids, and other process supplies purchased from DTGPRO and expressly designated as compatible with your specific equipment, unless DTGPRO has approved an alternative in writing before use. A supply sold by DTGPRO is not automatically approved for every model.
Commercial equipment condition. For equipment and transactions where an exclusive-supplies condition is lawful, continued compliance is a condition of both warranties. Use of unapproved third-party supplies voids the remaining contractual standard and extended warranty coverage to the extent permitted by applicable law. Switching back to approved supplies does not automatically reinstate coverage; any reinstatement must be confirmed by DTGPRO in writing.
Consumer-product and statutory exception. Where applicable law prohibits conditioning coverage on a particular brand or seller, using third-party supplies does not by itself void either warranty or exclude an unrelated defect. In those cases, DTGPRO excludes only defects, damage, or service made necessary by incompatible or third-party supplies to the extent permitted by law. This exception controls over any broader supplies condition elsewhere on this page. A customer's business use alone does not determine whether consumer-product protections apply.
Compatibility and records. Do not mix incompatible formulations or introduce unapproved chemicals. Retain supply invoices, product identifiers, and maintenance records reasonably needed to assess a claim. Written approval identifies the applicable supply and equipment; it does not expand component coverage or cover damage caused by incorrect use. Contact DTGPRO before changing supplies if you are unsure about compatibility or approval.
For equipment warranted directly by another manufacturer, that manufacturer's supplies requirements and applicable legal protections govern its warranty.
This optional, separately purchased plan provides additional limited parts protection for eligible new DTFLINE VANTAGE, MAXi, and PANTHERA printers identified on the order confirmation. It is a parts-only extension with remote guidance and customer-installed replacements, not an extension of depot labor or on-site service.
| Purchased extension | Combined timeline for a printer with a 6-calendar-month standard warranty |
|---|---|
| 6 additional months | 6 months standard warranty + 6 months limited parts warranty = 12 months |
| 12 additional months | 6 months standard warranty + 12 months limited parts warranty = 18 months |
| 18 additional months | 6 months standard warranty + 18 months limited parts warranty = 24 months |
The extension starts immediately after the included warranty expires, without overlap. Exact start and expiration dates must appear on your order confirmation. Where a product-specific initial period differs, the extension follows that stated period. Replacing a component does not restart or extend the term, except where required by law.
During the extended period, DTGPRO will supply replacements for eligible non-consumable hardware components that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance. Remote diagnosis and guidance needed to fulfill covered claims are included without a separate support purchase.
Contact DTGPRO before attempting a repair. Customers must reasonably cooperate with diagnosis and perform approved part replacements following our instructions. Do not perform work you cannot safely complete; contact us to discuss alternatives. On-site service, technician travel, removal and installation labor, depot labor, and third-party repair charges are not included. Available paid service must be agreed separately. DTGPRO-authorized replacements do not void coverage.
The standard warranty's component and cause-of-damage exclusions apply, including printheads, dampers, capping stations, tubing, other excluded ink-contact components, consumables, wear, clogging, routine maintenance, software, and excluded damage. The plan does not provide whole-printer replacement or compensation for production losses, subject to non-excludable rights. General training and coaching are separate services.
Continued use of DTGPRO-supplied, model-approved supplies is a condition of this plan wherever lawful. The Required Supplies & Warranty Eligibility section, including its commercial-equipment voiding provision and consumer-product exception, applies in full.
Approved replacement parts ship by standard ground at no additional charge within the contiguous United States. Expedited shipping and shipping outside that area are quoted separately before fulfillment. DTGPRO may require return and inspection of the defective component before releasing a replacement. When a return is required within the contiguous United States, DTGPRO provides a prepaid standard return label; customers must package the part securely and follow the provided instructions. Return costs outside that area are quoted in advance. Any advance shipment or deposit arrangement must be agreed in writing; the standard warranty's automatic C.O.D. provision does not apply to approved extended-warranty replacements.
The plan must be purchased with eligible new equipment from DTGPRO. It applies to the original purchaser and one identified printer and is non-transferable, subject to applicable law. Shakers, dryers, ovens, heat presses, and other accessories are excluded unless expressly listed as covered. The confirmation must identify the equipment, serial number when assigned, purchased extension, and coverage dates.
Choose the price band based on the covered printer's net selling price after discounts, excluding tax, freight, supplies, and separately priced software or accessories: under $5,000; $5,000-$9,999.99; $10,000-$19,999.99; or $20,000-$29,999.99. Equipment at $30,000 or more requires a quote. For bundles, use the printer value assigned on the quote or order confirmation. A higher band does not expand coverage. Any mismatch must be resolved with the customer before plan activation; later equipment price changes do not change an accepted plan.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DTGPRO'S TOTAL AGGREGATE MONETARY LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PURCHASE, ADMINISTRATION, OR PERFORMANCE OF THE DTFLINE EXTENDED LIMITED PARTS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID FOR THAT EXTENDED WARRANTY PLAN, REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF CLAIMS OR THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED. This amount is the separately identified plan price, not the equipment purchase price. If the plan is sold in a bundle, its allocated price must be disclosed on the order confirmation at purchase.
This monetary liability limit does not cap the value of covered replacement parts DTGPRO is obligated to provide during the plan term and does not permit DTGPRO to substitute a discretionary refund for performance of an otherwise covered claim. It does not limit separate claims under the original equipment warranty, independent rights relating to the equipment sale, or liability and remedies that applicable law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where such limitations are prohibited. Any mandatory statutory damages, attorney-fee awards, or other non-waivable remedies remain unaffected.
Subject to those exceptions, the extended plan does not cover lost profits, lost production, downtime, substitute equipment costs, or other incidental or consequential losses. For monetary claims solely under this extended plan, this section controls over general equipment-price liability limits elsewhere on this page.
Except for the additional parts-only period and the specific service and shipping provisions above, applicable standard warranty conditions continue to apply. This section controls where it conflicts with general warranty service provisions during the extended period. The terms provided at sale govern the purchased plan; later website updates do not retroactively reduce that coverage. Nothing here excludes statutory rights, mandatory cancellation or refund rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DTGPRO, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers (collectively the "Service Providers") from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your product usage (including negligent, unsafe or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person using the product(s). The use of all specialty ink printing equipment and supplies such as inks, chemicals, powders etc. are at the sole risk of the user.
Replacement parts may be purchased separately; availability from another supplier does not establish compatibility or approval. The supplies requirements and statutory exceptions above apply. Should a return for repair be necessary, DTG PRO will provide assistance locating an approved shipping company. The unit must be insured for the full retail value. If the unit is shipped by a non-approved company or is not in original packaging when it arrives, DTG PRO reserves the right to refuse the shipment. These steps eliminate potential for damage in shipping. If a returned product is found to be damaged / defective or non-functional as a result of customer abuse, misuse, tampering, improper installation, improper usage (or any other non-warranty covered reason), the customer will be responsible to pay for all incurred shipping costs (including shipping of the printer to DTGPRO for inspection, as well as shipping the product back to the customer), and the customer will also be responsible for any repair related costs should repairs be possible and offered to the customer. DTGPRO reserves the right not to repair or not to offer repair services for any product that is returned for out of warranty reasons.
Although every effort has been made to provide accurate specifications, DTGPRO does not assume any liability for damages, whether consequential or incidental, that may result from the use or misuse of this product or from damage caused by unit modifications made by the user. DTG PRO reserves the right to alter specifications in the manufacture of its products.
It is understood and agreed that DTGPRO’s liability, whether in contract, tort, warranty, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, shall not exceed the purchase price paid by the buyer, regardless of any damages or losses resulting from product use. Furthermore, under no circumstances shall DTGPRO be liable for any special, indirect, contingent, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of use or production, or loss of capital), even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The price stated for the equipment is a consideration in limiting DTG PRO's liability. No action regardless of form, arising out of the transactions under this Agreement may be brought by Buyer more than one (1) year after the cause of action has occurred. Our warranty as specified is exclusive and no other warranty, whether written or oral, is expressed or implied. DTG PRO specifically disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
This warranty initiates from date of shipment to original customer. It is non-transferable.
This warranty does not extend to the print head or expendable parts such as dampers. This warranty does not cover a unit that has been subject to misuse, neglect, negligence, accident, or unit that has been operated in any way contrary to the manual and operating procedures specified by DTG PRO. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper maintenance, lack of proof of maintenance as outlined by DTG PRO, improper shipping, damage caused by disasters, such as fire, flood, and lightning, improper electrical current, software problems, damage caused by incompatible third-party products or improper third-party service, subject to the statutory exceptions above.
Written authorization must be obtained from DTG PRO before any unit or part will be accepted. Replacement parts are sent out via standard freight carriers such as UPS / FEDEX / USPS. Under the standard warranty only, parts sent out prior to receiving a defective Product or part from the customer will be sent C.O.D., cost plus freight. The extended warranty has separate shipping and replacement rules above. Upon return of defective part, if it is deemed that the part was not damaged by customer but failed, the cost of the replacement part will be refunded.
Custom Items
Custom Items (such as custom printed transfers or other custom printed items) are non-returnable for any reason and cannot be cancelled once in production. DTG PRO is not responsible for user submitted content (whether for intellectual property issues, spelling, grammar, quality resolution, or any errors or ommissions). It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all materials submitted for printing or custom orders are provided correctly and that the customer has the rights to content provided or uploaded to DTG PRO. We offer no guarantee of "match-print" color fidelity and cannot prevent slight color shift throughout an order. DTG PRO does not guarantee color will match the preview as it appears on a customer's monitor or photos, because device colors vary, fabrics and heat press techniques and settings can vary. Print colors/quality depend in part on the image that the customer provides (resolution, colors, shading etc) but also on the selected custom print substrate as well. Orders can not be deemed defective just because you are unhappy with the print colors or quality.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold DTG PRO harmless for, from and against all liabilities, losses, claims, actions, expenses and damages (including attorneys’ fees and expenses including the cost of collection on any past due invoice) resulting from Your breach of this Agreement or use of the Site, including without limitation (1) any breach of foregoing responsibilities, representations and warranties, or (2) any actual or alleged infringement of a third party’s intellectual property rights. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, You agree to indemnify, defend and hold DTG PRO harmless for, from and against any improper or illegal use of Your account, including the improper or illegal use of Your account by someone to whom You have given permission to use Your account. DTG PRO reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by You, and in such case, You agree to cooperate with DTG PRO in the defense or in asserting counterclaims to any such claims and You shall continue to pay all costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees following DTG PRO’s assumption of control (including, but not limited to the right to select counsel and to make all strategic decisions in any litigation or other proceeding related in any way to the foregoing) until the matter is resolved, as well as any resultant damages. If any provision of the terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Mandatory legal rights prevail over any inconsistent disclaimer, liability limit, claim deadline, or exclusion on this page. Where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed or their duration limited, those rights remain in effect. Any permitted limitation applies only to the extent allowed by law.
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON- INFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME LAWS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY, THEN ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD IDENTIFIED ABOVE. UNLESS STATED HEREIN, ANY STATEMENT OR REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR FIRM ARE VOID. IN THE EVENT THE REMEDIES ABOVE FAIL, DTG PRO'S ENTIRE LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO A REFUND OF THE PRICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY, NEITHER DTG PRO NOR ITS AGENTS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE, OR DAMAGE, INCLUDING DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE PURCHASED FROM OR PROVIDED BY DTG PRO, WHETHER RESULTING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. DTG PRO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FAILURE TO FULFILL OBLIGATIONS ARISING FROM EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NATURAL DISASTERS, SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTIONS, OR OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. DTG PRO MAY UPDATE THESE TERMS FOR FUTURE TRANSACTIONS. CHANGES DO NOT RETROACTIVELY REDUCE WARRANTY OR SERVICE COVERAGE ALREADY PURCHASED. GOVERNING LAW, JURISICTION & VENUE IS LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA.
