The MagicLine™ Desktop Transfer Starter Kit gives you the essential consumables needed to turn a compatible Canon® or Epson® pigment-based desktop inkjet printer into a professional full-color garment transfer system.

Print using your printer’s existing pigment CMYK inks—with no white ink, no special ink conversion and no printer modifications required.

This version includes MagicLine™ Soft White Powder, allowing you to create vibrant transfers for white, light and dark-colored garments.

A Simpler Alternative to Traditional DTF

Traditional DTF systems normally require specialized printers, dedicated DTF inks, circulating white ink and frequent maintenance. The patent-pending MagicLine™ process takes a different approach.

Instead of printing white ink, MagicLine™ Soft White Powder creates the opaque backing and adhesive layer needed for application to light or dark garments. After transfer, MagicSeal™ Fusion helps lock in the printed colors for improved wash durability, softness and flexibility.

How the MagicLine Desktop Transfer System works

How It Works

Print
Print your mirrored design onto a MagicLine™ Transfer Sheet using a compatible Canon® or Epson® desktop inkjet printer with pigment-based CMYK inks.

Apply MagicPowder™
Apply MagicLine™ Soft White Powder evenly to the printed transfer while the ink is ready to receive the powder.

Cure
Cure the powdered transfer in a compatible curing station or heat station.

Heat Press and Peel
Press the cured transfer onto the garment using a heat press, then peel according to the supplied instructions.

Finish with MagicSeal™ Fusion
Apply MagicSeal™ Fusion and complete the finishing press. This final step helps prevent the pigment inks from washing out and significantly improves wash durability.

Printer Compatibility

Pigment-Based CMYK Inks Are Required The printer must use pigment-based cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks. Compatibility is determined by the installed ink formulation, not simply by the printer brand.

Compatible with select models from printer families including:

Canon® MAXIFY GX
Epson® WorkForce
Epson® WorkForce Pro
Select Epson® EcoTank Pro models using pigment-based CMYK inks

Quick rule: Pigment-based CMYK ink printers are compatible. Dye-based ink is not compatible.

Always confirm the ink type for the exact printer model before purchasing. Some printer families include both pigment-ink and dye-ink configurations.

We highly recommend the use of a fume extractor when working with DTF powder in addition to good ventilation and filtration in your work area. The use of all specialty ink printing equipment and supplies such as inks, chemicals, powders etc. are at the sole risk of the user. Specialty inks and film require a good humidity and temperature environment (55% - 75% humidity, and 75° to 80°F) to minimize risk of ink clogs and film buckling.
