A Different Approach to the Hardest Part of DTF Printing

Traditional DTF and DTG printing often depends on pigment-dense white ink to create an opaque backing. White pigment can settle, separate and collect inside the ink system, resulting in agitation, recirculation, frequent cleaning, purging and increased printhead maintenance.

In supported workflows, MagicInk™ shifts that function away from white ink. The ink prints the bonding layer, while the selected MagicPowder™, foil or specialty material provides the adhesive, opacity, visible color or final effect.

Full-Color DTF Without White Ink

In supported traditional DTF printer configurations, MagicInk™ can replace the conventional white-ink layer.

The printer’s CMYK inks create the full-color image, while White MagicPowder™ supplies the opaque backing and adhesive layer normally provided by white ink and clear DTF powder.

Basic MagicInk™ Production Process

Exact instructions vary by application, but most MagicInk™ workflows follow the same basic production sequence.

Print
Print the mirrored design onto compatible transfer film using the MagicInk™ formulation designed for your printer platform.

Apply the Selected Powder
Apply Clear, White or colored MagicPowder™ according to the desired HTF, foil or DTF result.

Cure
Cure the powdered transfer using the recommended temperature and time for the selected film, ink and powder combination.

Heat Press
Press the cured transfer onto the compatible garment and peel according to the selected workflow.

Add the Final Finish When Required
Apply MagicFoil™ or complete the specified finishing process for the selected application.

Film, powder, curing, pressing and peel instructions vary by workflow.
Use colored MagicPowder™ when the powder will provide the visible monochrome transfer color.
Use Clear MagicPowder™ or the specified bonding process when foil will provide the final finish.
Use White MagicPowder™ in supported full-color DTF workflows where MagicInk™ replaces white ink.
Always follow the instructions supplied with the selected MagicInk™ product and transfer system.
